Americans in Mexico: Primera A gets underway

The young Americans in Mexico's Primera A Division got a jump start on their countrymen in the first division as Mexico's second division got underway over the weekend.

We'll be providing updates for you here on the Americans in Mexico throughout the season and I'll have a bit more in-depth look at all the players on Friday, so look out for that.

Until then, here's how the Americans in Mexico fared in Jornada 1 of the Primera A:

Sammy Ochoa: Started and played 57 minutes in Tecos' 4-0 loss to Cruz Azul Hidalgo.

Sonny Guadarrama: Started and played 45 minutes in Merida's 2-0 win over Indios Chihuahua.

Marco Antonio Vidal: Played 90 minutes in Indios' Chihuahua's 2-0 loss to Merida.

Tapatio (Jesus Padilla, Carlos Borja) had a bye week.
