Seems Jozy Altidore's goal may not be enough to keep him with Villarreal. Altidore is reportedly a possibility to head out on Villarreal on loan despite scoring his first goal in La Liga on Saturday.
Altidore is seemingly a victim of the numbers game. It's not that Altidore has fallen out of favor but rather he's far down in the pecking order, so far that it would benefit him just as much by going out on loan than it would if he stays with Villarreal and doesn't play.
Perhaps, though, if Altidore earns more playing time and scores more goals, he may make it difficult for coaches to move him out of the lineup and off the team.
