Jornada 15 update

Perhaps the most significant this week is the re-emergence of Sonny Guadarrama. The Texas native has re-surfaced with Merida of the second division, la Primera A. He played over the weekend, his second match with his new club. Not sure if he was loaned out by Morelia or if he was cut loose altogether - the latter is a likelihood. Nonetheless, Guadarrama is still wanted by a Mexican club.

It was a pretty active week in the Primera A overall as three players all saw action in one game, and one even scored, accounting for the lone goal among Americans this weekend.

Primera Division

Jose Francisco Torres: started and played 79 minutes in Pachuca's 2-1 win against Cruz Azul.

Michael Orozco: Played all 90 minutes in San Luis' 1-1 draw with Necaxa.

Edgar Castillo: Played 90 minutes in Santos' 1-1 draw with Tigres.

Daniel Hernandez: Started and played 75 minutes in Jaguares' 5-2 loss to Morelia. Hernandez received yellow card in 63rd minute and sent off in 75th minutes after second yellow.

Marco Antonio Vidal: Did not play in Indios' 1-0 win over Puebla.

Primera Division A

Sammy Ochoa: Played 90 minutes in Tecos' 1-0 loss to Tapatio.

Jesus Padilla: Played 90 minutes and scored a goal in Tapatio's 1-0 win over Tecos.

Carlos Borja: Played 90 minutes in Tapatio's 1-0 win over Tecos. Picked up a yellow card in 88th minute.

Sonny Guadarrama: Came on in 65th minute of Merida's 2-1 win over Cruz Azul Hidalgo.

Noel Castillo: Started and played 74 minutes in Indios Chihuahua's 5-4 win over Tampico Madero.

Miguel Gonzalez: Did not dress for Chetumal's 1-1 draw with Coatzalcoalcos.

Thanks so much for continuing with the Americans playing in Mexico updates! I was genuinely worried I'd miss this when the Sideline Views folded. So thanks again!
