El Tri in Europe recap (Nov 29-30)

La Liga

Omar Bravo (Deportivo La Coruña): Did not dress as Deportivo defeated Almeria on a penalty kick from Verdu.

Andrés Guardado (Deportivo La Coruña): Played the entire match against Almeria.

Rafael Márquez (Barcelona): Played 90th minutes as Barca downed Sevilla 3-0. The defender drew a yellow card in the 62nd minute on a questionable call.

Guillermo Luis Franco (Villarreal): Did not dress as Villarreal moved back into second place with the 2-1 win over Recreativo Huelva.

English Premiership

Carlos Vela (Arsenal): On the bench, but did not play in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Nery Castillo (Manchester City on loan from Shaktar Donetsk): Did not dress. City lost the Derby 1-0 to United.

Giovani dos Santos (Tottenham Hotspur): Injured (ankle). Tottenham fell at home 1-0 to Everton.

German Bundesliga

Aarón Galindo (Eintracht Frankfurt): On the bench, but did not factor as Werder Bremen embarrassed Frankfurt 5-0.

Pavel Pardo (VfB Stuttgart): Pardo played the entire match as Stuttgart defeated Schalke 04 at home. New manager Markus Babbel recorded his first victory at home.

Ricardo Osorio (VfB Stuttgart): Osorio played all 90 minutes as Stuttgart moved into 10th place in the Bundesliga.

Dutch Eredivisie

Héctor Moreno (AZ): Played the entire match as AZ defeated FC Groningen. The 2-0 victory bolstered AZ’s advantage over second-place Ajax by three points.

Carlos Salcido (PSV Eindhoven): Played the entire match in the 2-2 away draw with Heerenveen.

Francisco Javier Rodríguez (PSV Eindhoven): Started but was subbed in the 81st minute in the draw with Heerenveen.
