Chivas USA has the most wins in the league (five), the most points in the league (16), have allowed the fewest points (three, tied with Seattle) and has the best goal differential (plus-seven).
Impressive.
Even more so when you consider that the team's best player, well, supposed best player, has zero goals and zero assists.
I wrote a column on the topic for Goal.com.
Who knows if and when Sacha Kljestan will come out of his funk. He could break out this week at San Jose or he could continue to run around and do nothing offensively.
It's a similar situation to last season when you think about it. Brad Guzan was all set to go to Europe but a deal fell through at the very end. Kljestan spent time in Europe in January but ultimately did not go anywhere, and maybe he's just having a tough time trying to get past that and live up to raised expectations.
Like I wrote in the column, this was supposed to be his breakout year. It's a busy year for the US and Chivas needs to take the next step this year in their own evolution.
So far, Kljestan's been a no-show.

Sad part about it is, that he could care less about his poor form.
His cold indifference to the Chivas USA fans is becoming troublesome.
THht said, anyone want to buy a Sacha Kjelstan jersey?
Is it possible that Kljestan is burnt out, physically and emotionally, and doesn't know how to handle it? Is anyone on Chivas USA (players or coaches) actually trying to help Kljestan? After all, players aren't plow horses; they're human beings. We tend to forget that simple fact.
Well Dr. H,
What makes you think CUSA hasn't done something already? What makes you think that the team doesn't already know about his mental and physical situation? What makes you think CUSA sees him only as a robot? Being burnt out would explain some things, but not all things.
C'mon Gal fan. You're opinion matters, just try saying something intelligent.
ELAC
Who?
Sacha needs to go to Europe. Have fun playing for third division German team Sacha lol
He is leaving the team worse then Guzan.
rebrand, relocate sacha kjelstan...
He may have zero assists officially on the season, but his pass to Johnny Bornstein MADE that first goal against Seattle. If a Chivas player deflects that in, he'd get an assist for it, so in Zac Lee Rigg's official count, he gets credited for one.
Bring back Matt Taylor!!
LOL.
What makes you think CUSA hasn't done something already? What makes you think that the team doesn't already know about his mental and physical situation? What makes you think CUSA sees him only as a robot?Well, ELAC, for one thing, have you seen the injury count this season and last? Have you seen how how much time Razov and Galindo have taken to recover? Moreover, can you guess how Preki deals w/his players?
Besides, ELAC, just because I question Chivas USA's players or staff doesn't mean I'm a "Gals fan." If you have read any of my posts on other soccer blogs, you would have noticed that I'm anything but.
Should not have cut his hair, he lost all of his soccer powers. Me thinks a girl is involved... I will date you but you need to cut your hair.
